Jeffrey S. Hurst

After graduating from law school, Mr. Hurst spent three years in the litigation department of a small law firm in Beverly Hills. When he left the firm he was the head of this department. After leaving the firm, Mr. Hurst continued his litigation practice with several other firms. He tried several cases, including a large personal injury case which involved both wrongful death and serious physical injuries. His practice also involved defending construction defect cases.

Mr. Hurst joined Monteleone & McCrory in 1996. While at the firm he has participated in construction defect litigation, extra work claims against public entities, and payment bond litigation.

Mr. Hurst comes from a family of attorneys. His father and two sisters are practicing attorneys in San Diego. He also has practice experience in the construction field, having supported himself through law school by working in the construction industry. Mr. Hurst's current focus on construction litigation is borne partly from his prior construction experience and partly from his past construction litigation practice.

Mr. Hurst received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at San Diego in 1985, where he graduated eligible for honors. He received his law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1988.
