His practice is limited to litigation, principally on behalf of prime and subcontractors in disputes involving large and small construction projects. These include: breach of contract claims; differing site condition claims; extra work claims; construction defect matters; business fraud cases; and delay and disruption claims. Through this litigation experience, he developed a working knowledge of scheduling, construction operations, estimating and cost principles, and general engineering. Representative clients include: steel fabricators; mechanical engineering contractors; underground contractors; grading contractors; general building contractors; specialty subcontractors; and electrical contractors.
Mr. Miller is admitted to practice law in New Mexico and California. He tries both jury and non-jury cases in state and federal courts, and participates frequently in arbitrations and mediations. Mr. Miller has been selected as one of Southern California's “Super Lawyers for 2009”.
